Distiller heating element, 1.5 kW, extended

A deep still needs an element that reaches into it. This is the extended version of the 1.5 kW distiller element: the working zone is 24 cm (±5%), and length is the only thing that separates it from the standard one of the same power.

The tube is stainless steel, 10 mm in diameter. The fitting is galvanised steel, 16 mm, the terminals are threaded M3, and the two legs sit 60 mm apart on centre. It runs only submerged — switched on dry it burns out fast, so keep the liquid level above the element.

To check fit, compare the fitting diameter and the leg spacing with the old element; both must match. Then measure the depth of the still against the 24 cm working zone.
