Light stainless steel hay (garden) rake 60 cm

Raking hay for an afternoon is a different job from turning soil, and the tool should weigh accordingly. This one comes in under a kilogram, handle included, with a 60 cm head that gathers cut grass, hay and leaves in wide sweeps.

Fifteen stainless steel tines do the collecting. The handle is wood, and the whole rake measures about 180 cm, so you work standing straight. It suits a household garden as well as a small farm.

The steel does not rust, so dew and rain are no concern; keep the wooden handle out of the weather when you can. For loosening or levelling ground, choose the rigid toothed rake instead. This one is for whatever lies on top.
