Garden hoe in 65G steel, working part 160 mm

For weeding between rows and drawing soil up around plants, a 160 mm blade is the size most gardeners reach for: narrow enough to pass between plants, wide enough to make progress. The working part is 160 mm across and 80 mm tall.

The steel is 65G, a spring grade. It is springy rather than brittle, does not bend in packed soil and keeps its edge. It is also carbon steel, so wipe the blade dry after work and give it an oily rag before winter — left wet, it will rust.

The socket takes a standard Ø25 mm wooden handle. We also make a 160 mm hoe in stainless steel for anyone who would rather skip the drying routine.
