Boiler heating element – 3.0 kW

Three kilowatts in a single U-shaped stainless tube: this is the one to choose when the block has to reach temperature quickly. The tube sits straight in the water, so the steel matters — stainless does not rust, and scale lets go of its smooth surface far more readily than it does of plain steel.

Fit is decided by four measurements. The two fittings are Ø22 mm, set 120 mm apart between centres; the tube itself is 13.8–13.9 mm across, and the heated section is 16.5 cm long. Terminals are M5 studs. Put a calliper on the old element before ordering — if any of these differ, the new one will not seat in the flange.
