Boiler heating element – 3.5 kW

A heating element in a boiler lives in hot water all its working life, so scale is what wears it out; when the old one has furred up, replacing it beats scraping. This 3.5 kW element fits boilers with a 22 mm fitting hole and 120 mm between the legs.

The working length is only 16.5 cm — shorter than the 4.0 and 5.0 kW elements — which makes it the pick for a boiler with little depth to spare. Stainless-steel tube, 13.8–13.9 mm in diameter, M5 terminal studs.

Water only; do not switch it on dry.
