Dry electric heating element for water heater 1500W, L = 470mm, DAVIGO

A dry element sits inside a steel sleeve in the tank, so it never touches the water. That is the whole point of the design: no scale builds up on the tube, hard water does no harm, and you can swap it without draining the boiler.

This one is a straight element for Gorenje and Electrolux water heaters. Measure the old part before ordering: fitting length is 470 mm to the stop at the tube fork, give or take 5 mm, overall length 490 mm, tube Ø12 mm in stainless steel. Two 6 mm terminals set at 90°. Rated at 1500 W, 220 V.

When a dry element fails, the cause is often the sleeve rather than the element: check it for corrosion and look at the magnesium anode on the flange. A worn anode lets the sleeve rust through, and water reaches the tube.
