Description
Two kilowatts is the choice when the tank is small or the wiring is old and cannot take much more load. It heats at an unhurried pace, but it will not trip the breaker, and for a tank that needs to be hot by evening rather than in ten minutes that is enough.
Working length is 35.5 cm within 5%. Fittings measure 14 and 16 mm and sit 60 mm apart centre to centre; the terminal studs are threaded M3 and the tube is 10 mm stainless steel.
When replacing an old element, check it was not shorter than this one — a longer tube can foul the opposite wall. Run it under water only.
