Water heating element – clip type – 5.0 kW

A working length of just 23.5 cm is the most compact way to put five kilowatts into a shallow tank. The tube is folded to deliver full power without touching the far wall. If the tank is deep enough, look at the longer clip in the same category — the heat spreads through the water more evenly.

Fittings are 18 and 22 mm, 65 mm between centres, terminals threaded M5, and the tube is stainless steel.

A short tube carrying five kilowatts runs very hot, so the water must cover it completely at all times; run dry, it burns out in seconds. Size the supply line for the full load.
