Water heating element – clip, Pro series – 3.5 kW

Measure the inside of the tank first. This element needs 18 cm of clear water beyond the fitting (allow ±5% on the length) and a 22 mm hole for the fitting; the two terminals sit 65 mm apart and take M5 nuts. If those figures match your old element, the swap is straightforward.

At 3.5 kW it is the compact member of the clip range: the same stainless steel tube, 13.8–13.9 mm in diameter, the same galvanised fitting and nut, just a shorter reach. Water only — never switch it on dry.
