Water heating element – clip, Pro series – 4.0 kW

For a tank that needs to come up to temperature quickly but has no room for a long element, a 4.0 kW clip is the usual answer. The tube is bent back on itself, so the heated zone is only 20.5 cm long (±5%), a good deal shorter than an arc at the same power.

Before ordering, check the old element: it should have a 22 mm fitting and terminals 65 mm apart on M5 threads. If it does, this one goes straight in. The tube is stainless steel, 13.8–13.9 mm across; the fitting and nut are galvanised. It heats water only and must stay submerged while on.
