Water heating element – clip, Pro series – 5.0 kW

Fold a tube back on itself like a paperclip and you get a lot of heating surface in a short reach: this 5.0 kW element has a heated zone of only 23.5 cm (±5%), which is what lets it into tanks where a long arc would touch the far wall. There is also a longer version at the same power if the tank allows it.

The tube is stainless steel, 13.8–13.9 mm in diameter. It mounts through the tank wall on a 22 mm fitting with a galvanised nut; the terminals are 65 mm apart, centre to centre, threaded M5. Keep it under water whenever it is switched on — a water element run dry burns out.

Each element comes vacuum-packed.
