Immersion water heater – 2.0 kW

For a bucket or a tank rather than a mug: at 2.0 kW this is the strongest immersion heater we make, and it earns its keep wherever a lot of water has to come to the boil without a stove — on a farm, at a dacha, on a building site.

The working part is stainless steel, so it will not rust and scale comes off easily. The cord is a two-core 2×0.5 flexible lead, 1.0 m long, and the handle is yellow. Give it a sound socket of its own; a tired extension lead will warm up under this load.

Lower it into the water first, then plug it in, and unplug before you lift it out. Switched on dry, the element burns out within seconds.
