Boiler heating element – 2.0 kW

Any element that heats water directly will pick up scale, and how much depends on your water. Stainless steel helps here — the tube does not corrode underneath the deposit, and once the scale is knocked off the metal is as good as new. Pull the element once a season and look at it; a thick coat makes the tube run hotter than it should.

Two kilowatts is the lowest rating in this boiler range. It suits a small tank, or a block where several elements switch in stages, since it is easy on the wiring. The mounting is the same as on the higher ratings: Ø22 mm fittings at 120 mm between centres, tube 13.8–13.9 mm, heated length 16.5 cm, M5 terminal studs.
