Dry heating element for boiler, 600 W

You can swap this element without draining the tank: it sits inside a ceramic sleeve and never meets the water, so limescale has nothing to grow on. That is the whole point of the dry design, and the reason Gorenje and Electrolux use it in their water heaters.

The element is straight, rated 600 W for a 220 V supply. Stainless-steel tube 12 mm in diameter, 270 mm overall, of which 240 mm heats. The two 4 mm terminals are set at 90° to each other, so the leads from the old block go straight back on.

The one trap is the sleeve. It differs between series, so before ordering lay the old element beside a ruler and check length and diameter: a longer element simply will not go in.
